Seven years after Reggae Now!, LA's unchallenged kings of Dirty Reggae return with Super Atomic, and it's precisely the shot of high-octane, groove-heavy skank the scene needed. Released on June 5, 2026, this 11-track, 39-minute burner finds the band at their most tight and intentional yet, thanks in part to their tireless touring and a "trust the groove" philosophy.
Since dropping their 2019 comeback, The Aggrolites have been circling the globe, sharpening their live chemistry to a razor’s edge. That road-tested fire flows directly into Super Atomic. The songs were made to have a big impact when played live: "all gas, no brakes".
The first song, "Live by the Code," creates the mood right away. It's a strong, riff-driven statement that I have already ranked among the best Aggrolites songs. It goes into "Boots on the Terrace" and the humorous "Duck Pon Pond" (with Man Like Devin), therefore sustaining the skanking energy without a drop. Faster tempos with vintage One Step Beyond-style vocal intros are featured in instrumentals like "3I Atlas" and the title track, highlighting the organ playing and the band's instrumental skills.
Lead single “Till the Wheels Fall Off” is a ride-or-die anthem that perfectly embodies the album’s spirit. All songs keep the hooks unforgettable while leaning into high-energy rhythms with space for soulful melody.
Super Atomic provides in a society still requiring the Aggro Sound. Take the vinyl out of its packaging, turn up the volume, and experience the groove. The Aggrolites are atomic, not merely back.
