Knife’s Edge - Let The Hard Times Roll

Kicking off 2026 with my first review, here's a look back at Knife’s Edge's "Let The Hard Times Roll" from 2025. Straight-up Oi! from the Arizona desert, where the heat must be fueling some serious street-punk fire. These scene vets—fronted by Brian Paulson (ex-Heavy Breather, Rotten Youth) and including Luke Lanham from North Side Kings—deliver a slab of anthemic boot-stompers that kick off slow and shouty, with choruses to rally the troops, before ramping up the pace.

It's got that raw heart, tackling the political shitstorm and its fallout, like in "Fake World," a rant against social media's fake-ass performative bullshit where nothing's real and trust is dead. "Let The Hard Times Roll" flips it personal, about riding life's highs and lows, persevering through the crap.

They throw in a killer cover of Blitz's "Someone's Gonna Die," plus re-ups from their 2024 "Rat's In Power" cassette ("Rats In Power," "Never Been Better"). In a wave of fresh Oi! crews, this stands tall—echoes of Blitz, Reckless Upstarts, Sham 69, The Chisel, The Templars, Lion's Law. If you're into solid, no-frills punk with something to say, grab this.
