The Skinflicks - Condemnation, Inevitably

The Skinflicks released their third album since reuniting, Condemnation, Inevitably, today as I write this, on August 22, 2025, and it captures the band at their most urgent and defiant. The record takes everything that defines them—loud, straight-ahead Oi! with grit, hooks, and social bite—and pushes it forward with a production that feels bigger and sharper than anything they’ve done before.

It opens with “Paedo,” a fast and tuneful punch to the gut, and barrels straight into pogo anthems like “Skins In The Pit” and “Cross And Flag.” Along the way, the tone shifts into heavier territory with “Watching A Friend Die,” a raw and frustrated song about losing too many friends too soon.

“Don’t Read The Papers” ties back to the band’s earlier media-themed tracks, pairing delay-soaked guitars with timeless advice about keeping sanity in a world of media overload, and “Gun For Hire” adds a colder post-punk flavor, showing the band’s willingness to expand their sound without losing their roots.

The most tearfull moment comes with “Your Boys,” a bleak continuation of the group’s long-running cycle about broken homes and hard living, focusing this time on fathers pushed aside in bitter divorces. Just as the closer “Roots ’n’ Boots” proves reflection can hit as hard as rebellion.

All in all, this record flows with energy, variety, and impact. Whether you join the chorus of disapproval or the sing-along crowd, the Skinflicks don’t care. This might just be their most focused, furious release yet—so strap in, turn it up, and let the chaos begin.
