Collaps - Getting Used To The Dirt

German street-punk/Oi! group Collaps returns with the second full-length album called Getting Used To The Dirt. It has eleven tracks that last for less than half an hour. The band has fulfilled the expectations because each of these songs is catchy, powerful, straight street punk with anthemic melodies, straightforward chords, and aggressive vocals.

They are all great and similar in themes, attitudes, and approaches. “Cokehead Politics,” “You Don’t Get Shit,”I Think We’re Fucked,” and “A Future” sound angry and dissatisfied as they depict the working-class rage against the establishment and its disrespect while “Counterculture,” “Rock’n’Roll Lover,” and “Grey Men” reject normality and the status quo. 

 All songs sound powerful, straight, full of aggressive voices, and uncompromising attitudes. No boring moments and wasted words can be found in “Getting Used To The Dirt” because this band knows what they want to say.

Collaps presents another release of melodic street-punk/Oi! music that can be defined as great. Every song is catchy and filled with aggressiveness, dissatisfaction, and critical attitudes towards the modern society and the problems it creates for the working class as well as the loss of personal identity and peace of mind.
