NOi!SE - On and On

Longstanding contributors to the streetpunk genre, NOi!SE have assembled On and On, a comprehensive anthology comprising singles, B-sides, contributions from split seven-inch records, and several previously unreleased compositions. Released through Pirates Press Records, a label with which the band has maintained a sustained collaboration, this album functions as a companion to their earlier compilation, Pushing On. It delineates the conclusion of a distinct phase in the band's trajectory, featuring the previous lineup, while facilitating a transition to forthcoming projects with a renewed ensemble (a new album is coming up). Spanning four years of periodic creative and recording endeavors, the collection exemplifies the band's commitment to employing anthemic, forthright music as a conduit for incisive social commentary, as articulated by vocalist Matt Henson.

The fourteen tracks, distributed across two sides, embody NOi!SE's characteristic fusion of volume, aggression, and melodic hardcore elements, drawing influences from seminal acts such as Bad Religion, Stiff Little Fingers, and Sick Of It All.

As a archival endeavor, On and On not only consolidates the disparate works but also highlights NOi!SE's enduring distinction within contemporary punk, where intelligent lyricism intersects with rough rhythms to provoke thoughtful responses. This release stands as an essential addition for adherents of the genre, offering both historical significance and substantive depth, devoid of superfluous elements. It is particularly recommended for those who appreciate punk that prioritizes profound messaging alongside unyielding musical vigor.
